TASK 3: WEB BASED LESSON PLAN

This assignment requires me to create an ESL Lesson Plan which incorporates the use of websites for teaching any of the language skills. For my lesson plan, I have chosen an interesting topic, which is Superheroes, specifically on the popular recent released movie, Avengers: Age of Ultron. The language skill that I would like to emphasize in my lesson is writing skill.

Topic: Superheroes (Creative Writing)

Level: Upper Intermediate to Advanced students

Time: 70 minutes

Learning Objectives: 

At the end of the lesson, students should be able to:

•       Identify the correct information about characters in the website to fill in the worksheet.
•       Write a response to the situation given on Padlet.

Technical requirements: 

•  Each student has a computer with Internet connection and Microsoft Word
•  An LCD projector is provided in the classroom

Moral Values: Responsible, Courageous, Love for peace and harmony

Previous Knowledge: Students have understood the storyline and themes of the movie, Avengers: Age of Ultron.

Procedure:

Set induction (5minutes)	1.  Teacher recaps on what they have learned during         previous lesson. Then, teacher shows a trailer of      a movie,  Avengers: Age of Ultron to students. 2. Teacher asks students several questions about the         movie and the characters. 3. Teacher explain today’s topic “Superheroes”. Activity 1 (30minutes)	1.   Teacher asks students to go to the official Avenger’s         website. Teacher asks students to open Worksheet A in               dropbox and gives an instruction to students.         “Fill in the blanks with information about the             characters of Avengers. Use Avengers' website as            your reference.” 3.   Teacher allocates 20 minutes for students to complete       the worksheet. 4.   Teacher discusses the answers with the students. Activity 2 (30minutes)	1.   Teacher asks students to go to Padlet. 2.   Teacher gives a situation on the Padlet.         “If I was a superhero, my superpower would be…” 3.   Teacher allocates 20 minutes for students to complete        the task. 4.   Teacher asks students to read aloud their answers. Conclusion (5minutes)	1.    Teacher recaps today’s lesson. 2.    Teacher concludes the lesson.
